Lucy McTier's Cartooning the Eye Lesson

A great lesson in cartooning and expressions as taught by Lucy McTier A portraitist since 1979, Lucy has the unique distinction of having both her sons to not only love art, but to be blessed with the talent to paint as beautifully as she does.

Among the highlights of Lucy McTier's career in art was her opportunity to paint President Ronald Reagan and present him with his portrait in the Oval Office of the White House along with her then five-year-old son, Jace, and her husband, David, in 1985. Lucy has work hanging in over 350 public and private collections, and in several gallery locations.

Sloppy Taters

You will need:

·        red skin potatoes (peeled or with skin)

·        ranch

·        season salt (Season All)

·        cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Clean potatoes and cut into bite sized pieces. After rinsing potato pieces, pour them into a large pot, cover with water and boil for 15-20 min. Once potatoes are fork tender, drain and pour into casserole dish. Sprinkle seasoned salt over potatoes. Pour ranch over potatoes, you want a good amount to give the potatoes flavor. Finish it off with sprinkling cheese on top. Place dish in oven and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Enjoy!

Yield: one 5 lb bag of potatoes makes about two casseroles (8 x 10 in.) One casserole will yield about 6 servings.

Sloppy Taters is a great potato side dish and goes great with steaks, or anything else you throw on the grill.
